Comparativo e superlativo degli avverbi

Gli avverbi seguono le stesse regole degli aggettivi, tranne che gli avverbi di due sillabe derivati col suffisso -ly usano more, the most e non le desinenze -er -est.

Ecco alcuni esempi (le forme tra parentesi sono usate molto raramente):

late - later - the latest

early - earlier - the earliest (early non è un derivato)

simply - more simply (the most simply)

coldly - more coldly (the most coldly)

Ci sono poi le forme irregolari:
