What is it made of/with? "Complemento di materia"

Eng. frequently uses premodification - i.e the name of the thing is preceded by the substance it is made of/with. Examples: "a marble statue; a gold watch; a silk dress"... It. has post-modification, usually with the preposition "di": "una statua di marmo; un orologio d'oro; un abito di seta..."
