R r

The main difference with Eng. - or, to be exact, with the "r-less" or "non-rhotic" varieties of English - is that It. "r" is always sounded, in all positions: final, post-vocalic, etc. So it is pronounced in words like "per, Inter, super, sport, Carlo"... ( for, Inter, super, sport, Charles...).

It is the consonant with the widest variations in pronunciation. The sound that is considered standard is a trill similar to "Scottish r".
